    Is it just me, or are squirrels somehow different these days?

    They seem skinnier. They no longer race across streets, they walk. But yet, I don't see near as many squished squirrels on the streets. They don't head for the hills when they see me, they just kind of stare at me like they're asking "yeah, so what do you want?"

    Maybe I just need one of those little ratdogs around that will tear after them upon sight. Maybe I'm just nuts, and they can sense it.

    Are squirrels the same in your hood these days?

    They are doing well around here. Ain't slowed down a bit. Coming out of winter they were somewhat skinny but they are fattening up pretty fast now.
