I've always heard that, but those mega carriers wouldn't stay in business grabbing cheap freight. My bet is more on the guys rolling with the trucks that you wonder how it passes DOT inspections.

The three-man sandal team running a ten-year old Cascadia that looks like it was pieced together from a Lego set, livin' large on thirty cents a mile split three ways, and STILL sending half of it back to the "old country".

I would do the same if I were in their sandals, but still..........

Stopped for the night at the new-ish Love's in Greenville, VA, I-81 x213

Parked between a Werner who is nearly over the line between us, and an XPO that turned out to be a REEFER?!? Who knew? Fortunately, he's got it set on continuous.

    I can live with that.

    Never mind. He's leaving.

The Werner driver is a white guy with blond dreadlocks wrapped in a maroon velvet doo-rag, teaming or riding with a pale, chain-smoking chick who has short black spiky hair and surprisingly large knockers, based on her overall "petite" frame size.

The guy also has on black nail polish.

Actually, today I've been thinking of applying the brightest flourescent Safety Yellow nail polish I can find to the nails of BOTH my middle fingers, so errant drivers will be sure to see, through my window tint, BOTH "#### rockets" I send them.

I'm goin' in to get some Chesters, and they'd best not be outta tenders:mad:

Yep. It's been a day of "peaks and valleys"....

Just remember, it was not too long ago that British kids were suspended from school for wearing their hair like Mick Jagger.

True, and I keep trying to remember that I am becoming an "old guy".

I just don't GET the nail polish on guys.....

And yeah, I know, "Steven Tyler blah blah blah", and Alice Cooper wore nail polish back when Tyler was "Steven WHO?", and my 22 year old son wears it, partly for personal expression and partly, I think, because he knows it irks me.

He just started his final co-op semester at a civil engineering firm in Columbus, and I told him he better clean up and button up to make a good impression, and take off that blankety-blank nail polish, which he made a point of telling me he DID NOT DO, and this civil engineering firm.......

Doesn't care he's wearing nail polish....

I really don't know WHAT to think, anymore.

Of course, he's not just a soon-to-be civil engineer, he's also a musician. So there's that.

    Now get off my lawn........

Thanks for that, Tomcat. I might really do it.

Also, my first thought was "hammer", because I could only see his right thumb at first, then when he pushed the door closed, all five nails were black.

    That's no accident.
