Definitely 65 ywar old pony tail guy, BUT only if they have the clearly receding hairline. My FIL is bald up top but maintains the ponytail... its a look, but not a good one

 

Mine makes me look like a mountain man... Bad thing is that my wife thinks I look like one too...

 

They had a Place on 78, east of Carlisle Pa. I forget the name. They had all kinds of authentic Mountain Man hats. Coon, Skunk, Fox, the list goes on. Expensive, but not outrageous. They were the coolest hats I’ve ever seen. Also has an assortment of skins. Maybe someone knows the name of that place.

 

Ive always wanted to make my own fur hat... Maybe a badger. But ive never had the time to go locate a good prospective hide donor, nor the energy to skin and tan it.

Edit: most folks now days wouldnt believe that that hat was pristean when I got it... Over 20 years ago.

 

You brush and oil it any? Seems that might bring it back to life, wont get rid of the stains but should make it quite a bit nicer

 

Did a search, $200 or less. Not bad. Perfect attire for attending a PITA rally.
