You're the 2nd person who suggested this, and while I agree with both of you it doesn't help my mood. Odin knows I've dinged equipment in my past, and I'm not so conceited as to believe I won't in the future; but ###### when it comes out of your pocket for somebody else's mistake it's bitter.JolliRoger, DrFlush, sealevel and 7 others Thank this.

Hate that you didn't get what you were aiming for, and likely more qualified for having been a driver in the stuff you've driven in. That being said at least you won't have to hear all of the excuses people make for their actions.Cowboyrich, D.Tibbitt, Rideandrepair and 5 others Thank this.

Are you sure that it’s not a Jack Russell in disguise?Rideandrepair, Dale thompson, Dave_in_AZ and 3 others Thank this.

I tried moving from driver into safety with 3 different companies....it seems an experienced driver won't bring to the table the proper conditioning regarding "at fault", "alternative actions", and "company policy". What a former driver will bring to the table is EXPERIENCE, COMMON SENSE, AND KNOWLEDGE FROM EXPRIENCE....NOT FROM THE INSURANCE COMPANY "BY THE BOOK" PATOOTIECACA!!!JolliRoger, Speed_Drums, Cattleman84 and 12 others Thank this.

Translation: "We interviewed the requisite four candidates, and gave the job to the boss' golfing buddy's nephew who's fresh out of college with a Bachelor's in Comparative Literature."......
I'm sorry it didn't work out, and I REALLY DO know how you feel, having been on the receiving end of one of those phone calls more than once.
And for what it's worth, my quest to "hang up the keys for good" isn't going any better than yours.JolliRoger, Opus, Cattleman84 and 9 others Thank this. -
Well, my short nap to wait out the traffic stupidity and heavy tain turned into rhinoceros sleep.
I got in a ten and then some.
I texted Mrs Skillet that I slept thru the alarm, and she texted back, "Quit setting that stupid alarm and come home when you're rested."
I'm rested now. What woke me up was my truck shaking like someone was jumping up on the steps. Turned out to be the wind.
It's 46° here in Jeffersonville OH at the TA, with a stiff breeze and gusts to 10mph. I sure am missing my beard. And my hair. And my wooly cap.
Another cuppa coffee, and back on the road again. One hour to the terminal.JolliRoger, DrFlush, SoulScream84 and 8 others Thank this.
