Well I'm currently about 5 hours and 30 mins into day 2... 267 miles to go to reciever, about 4 to 4.5 hours of driving. So I should arrive with time still on the clock... And I will be there before they open, AND I'll beat the morning rush hour.
The really funny thing about this load is that Tuesday morning when dispatch was getting it from the broker over the phone (I was sitting in the dispatchers office listening, broker was on speaker) the broker thought I would need a Saturday delivery... 4 full days!!! My head jerked up when he said that, dispatcher just smiled and asked if I could be there Friday morning. I said "Easily, maybe Thursday... But that would depend on too many factors for me to guarantee it." Like I said in previous post... Once day 1 was over, and I was 1000 miles closer, I knew I could make it by Thursday...
Will update at reciever if they do indeed get me onto a door 24 hours early.
What if it Snows?

Delivered first thing this AM, heading to next load. Highway is 5 lanes wide, still traffic backs up and runs slow. So Bee Bopping along, come up a slower truck, doubles, bulk hauler, jump over a lane and start passing. Boooommmmm, bulk hauler blows tires.
Shrapnel hits side of trailer and takes out he mud flap.
Know the company of the truck, run regional around the area. Should I send them a bill for the repairs? -
Cattleman84, Lepton1 and lovesthedrive Thank this.
