OK but does the state and other municipalities have any reservoirs to capture the water? Or does it just flow out to sea and not have the chance to soak into the ground where the wells pull from? (I am figuring you have wells out there and not just a hose out to the crick......)
What if it Snows?

Lately everytime I've passed those after about 6-7pm they're packed with even the creative spots taken. I screwed up and pulled into 1 spot that used to be dependable for their dirt lot, people had parked so well I had to back out of the parking area towards the pumps.Dale thompson, LoSt_AgAiN, lovesthedrive and 3 others Thank this.

The classes actually exist. We have two government hunters based near here, one state and one federal. They offer yearly classes on live trapping. They're pretty sharp and have a lot of good advice. The only animal they don't advise to live-trap are skunks.
Check your local county ag department for details.
I'm not sure if our local Chinese Buffet owner took the class or not. Probably did but I can't prove it.Dale thompson, dwells40, LoSt_AgAiN and 9 others Thank this. -
4H extension agents used to host the classes where I grew up. Caveat being if you NEEDED to trap the skunks to do it away from your house/domestic animal activity. Central West Texas is rife with skunks activity when things are blooming, but typically they're not very common near human habitation in my experience. Of course that doesn't stop a roaming dog from finding 1 on his nightly rounds.Dale thompson, LoSt_AgAiN, Cowboyrich and 2 others Thank this.

It was at the shelter that she took them to. I had a good chuckle myself when she told me what she was planning, got a certificate and everything. I offered my assistance but she refused to use conibear traps.

What's illegal? Trapping animals for food? Really? I'll have to look that one up.
As far as enforcing laws go, we try to apply common sense whenever we have a choice.SoulScream84, Dale thompson, JolliRoger and 6 others Thank this. -
A friend of mine was having a problem with feral cats so he borrowed a live trap I have. He lives on the edge of town and he called one morning telling me he went out to check the trap and there was a skunk in it. Asked me how to get it out of the trap. I was laughing so hard all I could say is the same way you would let a cat out and for him to keep the trap until the smell went away. From him, I meant.SoulScream84, Dale thompson, dwells40 and 5 others Thank this.
