I don't think you get anything.

There are good loads, and there are whacked loads / people to get involved with.

And right now, as I type this, there are good loads.

No perks to get excited about like a few bucks for layover, that you lose $500 day on, but we've learned to eat our tacos while we're moving.

Must something crazy going on in Laredo. Had a Load posted from here for $2250. Only a fool, or someone with a high paying load waiting in Laredo would take it. I’ve been there once, when the grid in Houston was down. Paid $7000. Picked up 3 miles away. I booked it so fast, I was shaking, dropped the phone, went back to the screen to get the phone#, price had gone up to $8000. Lol. Best load I’ve ever booked. Probably never see that again. You don't see unicorns.

So to go chasing after one 300, 400, 500 miles is stupid. Cause chances are, it's flown away by the time you get there.
Then the question has to be asked; Did it really exist to begin with?

Now if you're pulling in to park, pull your brakes, and one lands on your hood, that's a different story.

    Oh yeah
Oh yeah, had to be there at midnight, sat for 2 days along with a bunch of others. No detention. I didn’t care. I’m sure someone got it. I’m more concerned with future relationship with your Local agent. Automotive is notoriously competitive around here. Everyone wants it, but occasionally it can be Lucrative, when things go awry. My typical line, to the Shipper is,” don't be mad at me, I just got the Load, I’m the Guy they call when others fail”. Whether it’s true or not. Lol.

Ya, I was there about 2 weeks ago. It was a cluster ####. The #### gestapo, sorry, border patrol, shut down the interstate and routed the entire North bound down a 2 lane road. That way they could send us through a 2 bay inspection station, instead of the huge one they have on I 35 n at 28mm.
No #### given if I ever go back.

Have a great day everyone. Today’s the day I actually accomplish something. The crunch is on. Tains a coming. Time to get back to Trucking Mode. I’m addicted to the insanity of it all. This domestic life is very boring.

Some of the better agents have carte blanche on moving rates up to get loads covered.

Some have to get the ok from the shipper.

Now Doctor Genius shipper that okays it at $2.79 in $4.00 all day long market, in the bigger markets, then cries like somebody stabbed him when it's at $5.50...........that's the guy I want to twist the knife in. For being a moron to begin with.
