    Even older, the clutch pedal that had a spurred bracket that would depress the
    "floorboard" starter and crank you smoothly, even if you were not in neutral.
    Believe that was the start of all the new fangled features.

    Denny's used to be pretty good until they hooked up with the truckstop folks.

    No I've been to Denny's several times. I generally will eat somewhere else but I really wanted something at a sit down joint, and it is the only thing that was handy. I wont ever eat one of thier burgers again after the one I had 2 years ago... Needless to say I was stopping at least once every hor for the next 2 days.... NEVER, EVER AGAIN. It just seems that I can never remember how crappy thier coffee until it hits the table.

    How about the VW beetle that hat the windshield washer water bottle that was powered from the air of the spare tire?
    The tire shop I worked at recently had a VW microbus come in for tires. The shop couldnt find reverse. I told them to push downward on the gearshift. Yup slid right in.
