Better idea... If the studs are in the old valve... And the old valve is junk... Cut the body of the valve away from the stud... Like splitting a nut to get it off the bolt... Same principle but its the valve body instead of a nut.

 

Lol!!! The worst part is I’ve got buckets of bolts. Probably have some SS somewhere. SS at ACO we’re $2.00 a piece. I’d say it’s a good business idea.

 

You’d think it would come with studs. I guess different Trucks, different lengths. Worst case, new grade 8 bolts, Full thread, cut off heads, run nuts off the cut end, to clean up threads. Put cut side into valve. Homemade studs.

 

I’ve only done it once. Used Turtle way rubbing compound. Than polishing compound. It worked. I was tempted to wet sand with some 600 to get the pits out.
