Dang Cattleman, that had to be scary. I burn brush sometimes and like to think I'm very careful.

Couple years ago, an old boy was burning brush, done it many many times. Something happened and he tripped or fell and the fire got him. He dint make it.

Winter Storm Advisory now up in SE WY, Winter storm Statement now up in western half of WY. Generally 4 to 6 inches and 9 in the bighorns.

    Western and Central Wyoming

National Weather Service Watch Warning Advisory Summary

Wait half a day weather changes fast in WY. It will change again by morning. However this is tiny tempest in teapot compared to a proper Noreaster raging from Lake Charles to Chicago all the way to Maine now.

Arkansas is finished up with snow. Everyone is sliding off the wee bridges with their purty 4x4's I own one but am staying right here at home where the pretty snow angels outside the window.

Thanks x1... I like to keep up on what is happening out on the big road, even when I'm stuck at home... I'm sure you can relate. Its looking like I will be off the road for at least another couple weeks.

    Aw. That's gotta suck.

The closest I came to ruin was lighting a stupid little bush pile that wont light. Like a dumbkoft I sprinkle gasoline. kloink kloink kloink kloink etc. Wife says that's enough darnit.

Oh noooo.. let's some more of that kloink INC song.

Here I am in the middle of the #### thing fighting a stupid zippo that was out or low on fluid.

    SCRTATCH! POOOOF

I don't remember much, I think I made it three steps and the blast front fire ring passed me then came back.

Next to a stupid shed with ####### 20 gallons more of gasoline being breathed in the heat followed by 5 gal of deisel.

KRUMPTH. Fortunately it was the vapor that burned off not the actual fuel, thank god.

Yeah it was pretty scary... Initially when I realized I was on fire it was a few seconds of sheer panic. Once I was extinguished the panic and fear subsided for about 10 mins until the pain really started to take hold of me.

The ER doc said he thought I was probably having a mild panic attack in addition to the burns, cause I felt light headed but my oxygen levels were in the high 90s. Once I was on my way home from the ER the fear then subsided again and I was able to relax... And sleep.

I also know of a guy that got burned really bad... Luckily he survived, barely. He spent several weeks in the burn unit in SLC, UT.

The last time I got scared bad when that trailer slid off a little bit near bethlehem pa in the rain of all things I shook for 2 days, did not sleep for three chain smoking considering should I quit the industry.

What I should have done was bobtail to GF and got laid or something back then get it over with.

I was a basket case in those days.

My Dad always taught me "When you get bucked off; you get up, dust off, and climb right back on that horse." That is exactly how I have handled lifes tribulations, this accident of mine being no different. 2 days after I had my little "barbecue"... I went out and burned the garbage. Albeit without the aid of any accelerants.
