The wire with the 2 butt connectors is the marker light wire...that is the harness which attaches to the headlight assembly connector..![]()
I found marker light power with my test light just below the 2nd butt connector and cut them off, it was corroded all the way to the pin in the harness... Depinned the old wire and repinned a new wire and shes working just like new

That explains a lot. Didn’t know about the Asylum. Yeah it’s creepy. I think of it as the border from new south to old south. North of there, Yankees are welcome, many have family up north. South of there. Folks stayed put. Don’t need any Yankees moving here!!! Lol. Just my observations. I’ve often been told you outta move here, in Eastern Tn. East of Jackson that is. Not many invitations south or west of there, till I get to Southern Louisiana, Lol. I joke a lot, but northern Ms. around Tupelo to Meridian is home to some very friendly folks. Always a good time running down south.homeskillet, sealevel, Dave_in_AZ and 4 others Thank this.

Ooh!! Got lucky, had enough wire near the plug to crimp a connecter. Looks like a good job. I see a full tool box, complete with torque wrenches, and a 20 ton jack in your near future. Lol.homeskillet, lovesthedrive, Dale thompson and 2 others Thank this.

Those butt connectors were the problems.. I took those off and put a new wire on and did it the right way... im just glad it was right there at the harness, i was tired of searching for power , was ready to splice a wire from the passanger side and be done with it... i do need a bottle jack and spare tire... get rid of the roadside repairs..InTooDeep, homeskillet, Speed_Drums and 7 others Thank this.

I got all the outdoor furniture assembled. Wife’s all happy. Only jabbed myself once with the razor knife. For a woman that “never buys anything”, we sure have a lot of furniture around here. I told her if we ever get this house finished, no extra things in walkways. I want 38” of walking room. Lol. She’s a pretty good decorator. I’ve got the layout in a way that flows. Meanwhile I stumble around stuff, stuff and more stuff. Add my junk. It’s a lot of stuff. One day there’s going to be a huge garage sale. Everything goes, except the basics. Neighbors are the same way. Two car garages full of stuff, big sheds more stuff. Basements full of stuff. Too much stuff!! Lol.

In Commiefornia when I left in 1985. They had replaced all of the natual gas liines with a plastic pipe that had a glue inside. The idea being that during an earthquake? The line will get crushed from the shifting earth. When the line is crushed or stretched from some form of accident. It will seal the line.InTooDeep, homeskillet, Speed_Drums and 6 others Thank this.
