It was a 1977 triple black, gold tape on double pin stripe. ( stripes didn’t line up, they overlapped bad assembly quality) Lol. It Had the beautiful rich Corinthian leather interior. 400 smog lean burn engine. Never ran right. Always had a misfire. Dad drove for Chrysler Local, from 71 till 81. Cost was $6700 fully loaded, with his discount. After he quit, said he’s glad he doesn’t have to buy another Chrysler. Lol. Traded it in on a VW Shirocco S 5 speed. His wife loved it. He never did buy another Chrysler. That’s all he ever had before, except for one Old Buick, a 57 Bel air, and a 65 Bel air. After the VW, it was a Eldorado Barritz with 4-6-8 engine. Then a 85 Chevy P/U 350 4 bolt main. Lastly a 87 Chevy Caprice. All black, with dog dish hubcaps. I really wish he’d kept the 57. I was 6 yrs old when he sold it for $200

So we have arrived at receiver. Got a door. Appointment isn't for another hour, so I'm thinking we are going to sit the full hour.

Place is infested with Schneider trailers.

You know why we took this instead of Schneider?

    Cause Schneider couldn't handle it.

    HAHAHAHAHA

Those pinstripes almost never lined up right back then unless you had a custom job and yeah, they should've just put the 318 in all of them.

Headed to Pa. Yikes!!!! Truck wants to stay in Ohio. Hoping to get in and out without running into the Gestapo. Being the weekend should be OK. Trucks still traumatized from prior cavaty inspections.

Ok made a deal with the Truck. Going to stop in Hubbard, Big Rig Shop. Open till 3:00. Promised to buy something shiny. We’re headed that way. Hoping they still have Pinnacle seats. Freightliner has 2, one on display. Said they’re having trouble getting more. Supply shortage. Thinking I better buy anything that’s needed, or may be needed in near future. No telling what’s going to be in short supply. Everyone’s keeping equipment, can’t find any new. Gotta keep up what you got.

At least the rattlers are big enough to be shot.

I remember those. I think it was 85 when they dropped the White. Also dropped the old headlights. Here’s a 85 I saw yesterday. Kid just got it. Fresh 425 b model Cat. Just had Trans rebuilt. They turned the gears around 13 Double against the dash. He has big plans, hoping to help him along the way. With info if possible. I like the look of the lights on 84, windshield on his 85. Like to do my Classic that way. They sell a retro grill for mine. Have to get the headlights and work the fenders. Then add Coronado Tanks and boxes. My old Classic would have the beast of them all. Lol

I’d bet he’s pleased as punch to drive that old horse. I certainly would be.
