I plan on stoping there today. Great showers. Going to get pics of the pink Freightliner cab if it’s still there. That interior is awesome. Has SS on floor, old 80s cab has step up in center. I like that. Keeps all the snow, dirt in front of seats.

My hunch is may be o.k. cause the r.v.s should have run out by then.

Parking is the dirt lot, driveway is across from the fuel stop. Check in with the guard.

A lot of wrecker operators are; and do, what some other types advertise: No brag, just fact...

There is on old wrecker operator in Tupelo who (I'm told on good authority) years ago, went for a gas tanker in the ditch at Blue Springs on old US 78 (about level with where the Toyota plant is on i22). Valving broken off in the ditching and gas running all over. First there were standing around wondering if wiring would short out and blow/burn. He drove up, got out, grabbed an old jacket, and waded thru shoetop gasolene to cover the battery connections with the jacket, reach under and cut the cables. Then told them if they would move their vehicle's, he needed to pull it out using the same way it went in..Wrecker company was Loden & Vinson, his initials ET.

Back in the 50's, lots of truck stops had bunk rooms. Red Davis at Greeenville,MS had a room about 20 by 60 across the back of the building. About 10 good sized cot/bunks along walls and a large 2 throne, 2 urinal, 2 shower stall, area at one end.
Kept as clean and airy as Mr Anybodies bedroom. Buy gas, free. No buy, $2.00. "Red" patrolled it early each AM. Did not put up with any xxxx , just strictly bizness. Miller Petroleum Transporters terminal was next door., jet fuel to Greenville AFB.

I bet you remember the old Bar room near the Red Hot sign in Meridian. They Owned another north of there, also. Live Bands. Made famous by the Bar Maid who shot 2 Patrons on 2 separate occasions. They had sleeping rooms also.

Forget Shelia and her brownies... Find out about his plans for Holly the stripper he mentioned way back.
Seems like she had a jail booking, may not be out yet. Could do any half-way house there.

DANG GOOD Brownie (to the point of addicting) are hard to find.

Strippers are relatively easy to find in most any neighborhood.

Not those especially, but our fair state had some notorious area/locations. I remember the strip of joints/roadhouses, etc along US 80 running east-west. That strip was the inland whiskey and gambling mecca for those who did not go to Biloxi. State was dry for ever seems.
We ran from Starkville (US82) east - west and West Point (US45) Chicago/New Orleans/ north -south.
Only crossed Meridian on US 80 coming back east years later with beans for China Doll in Mobile.
Remember idling in the road going north thru Corinth in the Buford Pusser era. Corinth City Limits/MS/TN state line, joints on both sides for 3/4 mile. Happy drunks strolling across the highway to unite with or go cut someone on the other side. We usually loaded veal calves out of West Point for Rath in Waterloo on friday nights. Get up to Corinth about time they were getting wound up. I have set for 15 minutes for the foot traffic mandering back and forth to slow enough to inch thru. Guys would offer you a beer, and their girls wanted to know where you were going. Down home, it was...
