    Ok anyone know? I fused the inverters at the battery. Hooked fuse to battery post, then to power cable. Examples all show installing it a few inches inline away from battery. Requires cutting the positive cable. Does it matter? Seems at the battery is safer to me. Fuse hasn’t blown. The one inverter shorted out, started smoking at battery. I disconnected it before the fuse blew. Don’t really understand why it didn’t blow.

    That’s what I thought. I had to drill the fuse out a bit to fit the post. But I’m right on the battery.
