We've been exploring Abilene all day. Found the Pappy Slokum brewery, but they're closed to the public today. Although I got a 6pk of the Stripper Dust at a liquor store...for $11.90 lol.

It's very rare that we get to inconvenience office personnel the way they do us but today that changed. They make everyone at my work get a CDL except for the dock workers and I wondered why for the sales guys and some office people but today I found out. Got to first stop about 45 minutes from the building and the powered pallet jack was dead (I now know to check that) so I called and asked if they wanted me to come back and get another. To my surprise they said no, they sent a sales guy out on a truck that looked like it was put into service somewhere between the American revolution and the civil war to bring me another one and take the bad one. He didn't look very happy at all lol. It's the little things in life that make it good.

 

Well I got unloaded in Detroit... Only had one tiny slow down getting off I-94 WB to I-96 SB that slowed me to about 20 mph for like 500 feet then smooth sailing all the way to Ft. Wayne, IN to get reloaded. At which point I had enough time to make it to Plymoth, IN with like 10 mins to spare... Or so I thought. Traffic slowed to a CRAWL all the way through Columbia City, IN... When I got parked I had gone over my 14 hr by 13 mins. It's been over 18 months since I've had a log book violation! #### I hate that 14 hr clock some days!!!

 

Things like that just take the wind out of the sails.
