If you want. You can do anything. Tho personally I would choose Arizona. Somewhere out in the boonies. Taxes are ridiculously cheap. You wont need to pay for heating fuel. Build some form of earthen home so the walls will absorb and store the heat. The state doesnt suffer from earthquakes. Plenty of sun for solar panels. Tho you would need to have cisterns to collect rain water from what ever roof you have. 2000+ gallons at least. Your away from the ocean so there are no hurricanes. Most of Arizona is out of any flood plain so you wont get flooded. Plus you can call on Dave to have him cheer you up when your bored. Oh and starlink internet.

    Good night all

Saw my first set of vertical, quad exhaust stacks. I'll admit, they looked kinda' cool but I suspect the maintenance is a part time job.

Just considering getting some land or are you thinking to live on it at some point?

Too wintry there for my taste, But if you like winter and can set yourself up to survive through it I could see it.

For a survival camp I would look more toward the middle third of NV. Winter not as bad as WY/MT, Summer not as foul as AZ/NM.
