Nice! Sure makes it easier then chopping by hand I could imagine? Still got to stack all that wood up. How long you think that big pile of wood you posted the other day, how long would that last?InTooDeep, LoSt_AgAiN, Dale thompson and 4 others Thank this.

Important to the military. 130 man unit of US Army on Clark Air Base in the PI. Airmen like ticks on a dog.
But, only three of us had AB+. Military rule then you had to have two on hand, one needing it and one live
donor. so, if one of us cleared base, others were stuck till another one showed up.
(I was Army. But somewhere today is a man who was stationed at Columbus, MS Air Force Base in 1964, who came down and gave my little 2 year old daughter a supply of AB+. Warded off the blood flu meningitis raging fever. She lived a long and happy productive life but succumbed to breast cancer on 2011. Forever grateful to the blue uniform, who ever is in it.)kemosabi49, LoSt_AgAiN, Dale thompson and 9 others Thank this. -
Yeah it's WAY easier than splitting by hand. With the splitter I can split 1 chord in an hour if I have someone to hand me bucked logs and someone else to keep the split wood from crowding the splitter. To split 1 chord with a maul would take at least 4 hours, and that would be if I could keep up a fast pace... Which I cant do, after 15 to 20 mins I slow WAY down.
That stack of wood will last about 2.5 to 3 months of really bad winter conditions. By time sniw flies I will have enough split and stacked to last 4 to 4.5 months of really bad winter conditionsInTooDeep, LoSt_AgAiN, Dale thompson and 8 others Thank this. -
