Flat out negligence. They knew that tree was ready to fall for 2 years per the report. Yet did not get a crew to handle the unsafe situation. This has been typical behavior for the past 50 yrs that I am aware of.

Yes they have tree crews to keep lines clear. And the company knew it was the companies responsibility to keep them clear and up.

They were supposed to start putting the power lines underground starting in the 70's, And relocating existing lines to underground since then. They chose not too. They chose not to create and implement a plan. The company chose not to fight the PUC for a rate increase to do the required work. They failed as a corporation on all fronts with the exception of paying their board of directors well.

Oh and yep they do the natural gas supply and are at fault for this one also.....
