    Worse, dad worked for PacBell. Had to listen to him vent most nights. And most everybody else who was subjected to "line maintenance" on an overhead power line and was never reimbursed for them destroying stuff.

    Weeks without power cause they still had the electric lines nailed to trees and had to wait for them to set a bunch of poles that should have been set decades ago per a subdivision build contract. Stuff like that can give a person a bad attitude.

    Well and as Dave has pointed out, I am not a team player so I do not expect myself to drink the cool-aid and tow the party line.

    Finished 4 long days of orientation yesterday and drove back from St Louis early am today. A little brisk this morning. Down to 44 in SE Misery.
    I hope this thing here works out because I don't think I could handle ever having to go through orientation again.

    I'm so glad where I live we have SMUD and not PG&E. ####s going to get bad for them

    Have 2 in-laws worked the gas side, both retired. Both hated every day they worked.
    The pay off was a full benefit retirement. They have some good benefits.

    I worked at Rancho (seco) Mistako in the early 80's so many jokes about PG&E back then nothing has changed since
