The mall was built in 1975, when it was all farmland. Since then it’s blown up, every store or restaurant you can imagine is a few miles from home. I’m tempted myself, to buy a Steak and Shake franchise. No telling what’s to become of the mall. They already have weekly car shows at the Steak and Shake in Summer. Maybe I can add Tractor pulls, and Riding Lawnmower races. Drag strip!! Yeah. All the local street racing maniacs would eat it up. Oh well, back to driving my Truck. Caffeinated, medicated, and fed lunch. Dreading Memphis, and 360 miles through Illinois, with Boilingbrook as the prize. At least I’ll see what ever happened to the old 76, and the Transcon terminal my Dad worked out of, till one night he showed up for his normal bid run and they had padlocked it.
