Yes do it during construction... Its WAY easier and cheaper to put one in during construction than after the fact.

What you want is a good solid fuel stove or a Multi Fuel stove... Just so long as it is able to burn wood. When the "fit hits the shan" wood is always easily found.

 

I was stealth parked in a residential neighborhood. Stealth being the key word.

 

Plus this high quality paccar machine is the biggest rattle box ive ever been in. Id never get a wink of sleeop if i have to idle this ol beast at night time

 

I agree, just be aware, some municipalities have ordinances and codes against even efficient clean burning stoves.

I have been eyeing pellet stoves. They do not attain apocalypses proof status though.

That or a rocket style stove for slab/mass heat.
