When I was in the LTL game I had a customer call all chapped that we missed delivery on a 55 gallon drum of peroxide and because of that they were going to have to shut down the chicken plant.
I said sorry and promised to do better.....thank you for your business.....blah blah blah blah.
Then I started thinking, man, if my entire operation depended on a 55 gallon drum of peroxide, I think I'd keep more than 1 on hand.
LTL is a tough game in the JIT environment
