I’m telling you. I was considering having the TA change my oil. I think I’ll wait, or do it myself in the parking lot. I got a new quick drain valve. Going to put it on, make future changes a breeze.

I have the quick valve on mine. Ive never changed the oil but all the mechanics love it... Plus it keeps them from breaking/cross threading/stripping out the drain plug.

I need to change my cabin filters. It’s outside on mine. No filter when on recirculating mode. I need to make a bracket and add a filter. Dogs hair everywhere in here.

Looked like he was trying to straighten the old one. You must have demanded a new one. Looks good. Mines all rusty, missing a reflector. If I were there, I’d be grabbing the old one from the Trash. Lol. Good stuff in the TA trash. I got my 15’ airlines from one TA redone they ends. They were like new, one broken end. Got my 16’ pigtail from another trash can. Old ones sheathing was deteriorated, had it all taped up. Put a new plug on the like new trash bin special. 6-7 yrs later all’s still working good. I wish Freightliner would let me dumpster dive. I see lots of good stuff in their dumpsters. Lol. You got the good air bags now. Be good for 5-8 yrs. plastic bad, Metal good. Plastic ones leak and sometimes break. Sometimes the bottom bolt part breaks also. Good deal. Time to find something else to fix. Got to have that list constantly changing. I see cab air bags and shocks in your future.

I do. I’ve done them using the air leveler valve. Not worth the hassle. I’ve done them using blocks of wood under one axle, while changing another. Doesn’t always work. Like Dave’s, I still needed my jack to fit the last one in. Go figure. Jack up the frame, let’s the spring hang down, enough to squeeze the airbag in.

I like the magnet on the plug. That’s my oil sample. Lol. Last quick valve I had got screwed up by a guy who tried to force it open the wrong way. No not at the Loves TA Speedco or Petro. I did it. Lol. Everyone screws up. Just sucks when it’s your equipment. Best one I ever saw was at a TA. Tech unscrewed the filler plug too much, dropped the nut off the end into the engine. A brand new Cummins. First oil change. Driver was stuck on the weekend, till Cummins opened up. TA tried to say it’s no problem, probably just sitting in the oil pan. They wouldn’t pull the pan though. That Driver was pi#### off!

Well I made it. The TA is jammed up. No parking. I’m at one of my hiding spots. Had some Raising Canes. Be moving to Mc Dees for my morning coffee. Trucks a disaster area. Outside looks good. Insides got coffee grounds, coffee mate and sugar spilled everywhere. Tomorrow I clean, and do Laundry. Soon as the solar powered Trucks clear out.
