They sure make it look easy. 1 hr Job for them. 3-4 hrs for Me. I’ve only done my steers, about 4 times. The duals are too hard without the special tire dolly. I’d have to take tires off. Too much work. Shop Time!!
What if it Snows?

I don't know about easy. I'd say more like proper. Takes several hours. Takes awhile just to clean all the surfaces.InTooDeep, homeskillet, lovesthedrive and 2 others Thank this.

That’s an excellent Trade. My first choice of them all. I tried to study a 4” thick book a friend gave me 34 yrs ago. Decided it was too complicated to comprehend. At the time my concentration was not the greatest. Had scrambled up my brain for the last 10 yrs. Took 10 more years to unscramble them. Good thing scrambled brains fit right in with Trucking. Remember Last yr I did this steer at the Flying J in Knoxville. Started at 7:00 pm, took 10-12 hrs. I cleaned all the oil with the shoes still on. Time consuming either way. New shoes, linings were only surface wet. I thought I’d damaged the seal, putting the hub back on. Had a hard time with it. Anyway still good 150k later. Good practice is to replace them with every brake job. I still have 2 on the drives that are original to the Truck. 21 yrs old, over 2 million. Hard to believe. Those front brake cans are also original. I plan on changing them, and all the brake relay valves. Just because. But they’re still good.Speed_Drums, D.Tibbitt, Eldiablo and 5 others Thank this.
