    So where does Opus live?

I have similar thoughts about selling the truck. Like it's worth way too much right now. In a year I can buy a repo with warrenty.

I paid 22k for my Truck 13 yrs ago. 11k for Trailer 6 yrs ago. Today Trailers like mine are selling for $15-$17k at auction. My Truck would bring at least $40k. If all I had in debt was $55k, I’d Probably sell both. Other ideas bounce around in my mind. Sell equipment and start another type of Business. Too much uncertainty in that. Lot of inside Jobs available right now. My stint in unemployment is still yielding requests for interviews. Maintenance Supervisor, Production Manager. All sorts of Fancy Titles. It all sounds so lame, and Boring. No excitement, No challenge. No Feast or Famine. No Roller Coaster Ride. I like Trucking. Local Jobs don’t appeal to me anymore. Better keep the Poison I’m familiar with. I’d hate to have regrets. I think like anything, after while it’s taken for granted. I forget how hard it used to be, and how hard I’ve had to work to survive.

In battle Creek Michigum. At Target DC it was $21 to drive a forklift with a sign on bonus. 3rd shift lots of OT. So you can make $70k a year loading trucks...mm m

I pulled short loads out of there for a yr. in 2003. Got my Authority after that in 2004. I used to be Local, on the clock. Back then with OT I could make more than OTR. OTR seemed like a losing proposition, good Union Jobs were very rare. Lots of Seniority Guys in line for openings. New Truckload Carriers weren’t paying much. Less than .30cpm. Just wasn’t worth it to be OTR.
