No lol.
Just said buy a new truck or have a lot in savings for repair bills.
He seems so gung ho on this particular truck like its the only truck left on earth...but then knows so little about it that he can't tell what engine is in it...weird in my opinion is all.

I think some guys are just stuck in their ways. New trucks are not that bad and dont break down as much as ppl think . they may not last as long as them old ones but they just have a shortened shelf life. Doesnt make them worse. Just like an old fridgidair refridgerator would last 30+ years, now u buy a fridge every 5-10. Its just the way stuff is made now. But Id rather have a modern interior and sleeper, brand new, rather than something thats 32 years old and probably 6 kids been concieved in that thing. Im just a company driver tho so wat do i know

Well you know...a big hood is a good place for the bbq and patio furniture when you pull over for supper on the side of the road .

Dont sweat it... You gave your honest opinion in a pretty polite manner. When the guy drops a transmission or grenade an engine... Or just can afford to fill the tanks he learn.
Dont get me wrong I like old iron... But they take a special kind of person to keep them on the road and off the hook.Lepton1, dwells40, D.Tibbitt and 1 other person Thank this. -
A lot of people probably don't know that I own a bunch of old trucks, and that is why I say to be cautious about them. Its from experience and what the experience has taught me.

Everyone should stop trying to suck the Pete's #### all at once lol. When you ain't got Dem emmisions you gonna make all da moneys. Should probably remove the front brakes and ac while we're at it lol. The way I look at older trucks like that is can you make money with the right one yes....but why don't any large companies that are making billions of dollars use them. When I worked at UPS is was pretty much all international and Mack and now at coke it's a mix but the older trucks we are still running (25 years old) are internationals and Sterling. The bottler I work for made $1.2 billion last year without a single 379 in the fleet. Ups made like 60 billion and is the world's most profitable trucking company without running 379s lol. Some oo saving up his money for corndogs and flip flops got it all figured out tho. They are the ones that really have it made lol.lilillill, dwells40, LtlAnonymous and 2 others Thank this.
