Oh Yeah... I went to the boss this morning, while my truck was getting a bath, and asked if he would check my total miles with the company. I told him I thought I was getting close to 500k.

He looked it up and said just shy of 475k. Had I not left the company for 3 months in 2018 I would have easily been over 500k, that was also the year I had to take 1 month off because I lit myself on fire. He then began to think out loud... Trying to remember when I had started. I told him Novemeber of '17. He then looked up my load numbers from that month and found my very first load number. He asked if I remembered what my first load was... Yep, it was a bulk load of spuds to Lima, OH I left on a Thursday morning I was in truck 1345 and had trailer 1270R.

He then took that number and put it into another records system and found out that I was indeed correct... That Thursday morning was exactly 4 years ago... 11/9/17.

So Happy Anniversary to me... Lol

I know you wanted this post to be about your trucking but...set yourself on fire? That's what I want to hear about.

that’s cause you don’t bring enough trailer or load.

I have been several places where it was a total no go ….

I also have been to a place in AL that had to tear down 100’ fence and bring in dump truck loads of rock to get me on site.

no shame is telling them not so much…

Lol... I should have known someone would say that... Here us a quote from the early days of this thread, post #766 if you want to go back and read the conversation from around that time in 2018.

So in the US you can only drive 11 hours per shift?

That would mean many days I didn't get home, but be looking for a hotel room with just an hour, or 90 minutes left to drive. Harsh.
