Seems like yesterday to me... Ive healed up pretty good, barely any scaring. Ive got a gnarly scar on my upper right bicep but thats about it. If one looks very close at my right hand you can tell the skin is different, but its not noticeable if you dont look close.

Glad you're alright. Good thing you kept your wits about you and didn't freak out.

Eastbound on Main, turn on to Ward, park with your tail just past the driveway, pop the 4 ways, and tell Junior to follow you back to the truck with his 2 wheeler handcart.

Perfect for drums. No lift gate, or forktruck? Ooops.

Well getting into somewhere with ur set up is a whole different ballgame. I can put my flatbed just about anywhere but have said no before when its physically impossible. When some dude wants his log home delivered on the side of a mountain that needed 4 wheel drive in pickup with chains on to get into... Yeah not happening. Some jobsites are a no go as well depending what it is. But i was really just talking warehouses. Even some of the moat f'd up ones that were made when horse and buggys were around, I can shoehorn it in there one way or another.

    You're a trucker.
Of course you need a shrink.
    Normal people get normal jobs.
Those of us with a loose screw drive trucks. My dad has told me that all my life. He discouraged us from becoming drivers, my little sister and I.

I very nearly did freak out... You ever stared through a large camp fire at something on the other side? Thats what every thing looked like as my entire upper body was engulfed in flames, and my view was from inside those flames. It was by far the single most terrifying moment of my life.

I actually started to run after I set down the jug of gasoline but I only took about 2 steps before my brain screamed STOP, DROP, ROLL!!!!! I threw myself to the ground and rolled while trying to tear my shirt off, but I couldnt get it completely off while on the ground. So I got up to my knees and saw that the fire wasnt completely out, so I rolled around some more with my arms pined back and to my sides because they were trapped in my shirt. Thats why my arm got some of the worst burns... The flaming shirt was pulled tightly against my arm.

Once I was extinguished I got the shirt off, calmly made sure nothing else was burning, walked to the front door wjere my wife was just walking out to ask me when i was coming inside. She instead asked what happened, all I could say was "Gasoline" she chuckled and said "Well I guess you dont need a haircut now" and turned around to go back inside. I began to walk out to pickup what was left of my shirt, but stopped short. I turned around and said, "Honey, I think I need you to take me to the hospital." Thats when she noticed my badly burned upper body... And freaked out!!!

By the time we got to the hospital the pain was absolutely excruciating!!! She pulled up to the ER enterance, I told her to gobpark the car and I was out before she even stopped. I walked in and clamly said "I need a drink of water, and something for pain." The reception nurse looked up and went white as a sheet, then quickly got up and directed me into the ER proper... As I walked into the main ER trauma area everyone exploded into action. A nurse brought a 1 quart bottle of saline to rinse me off, I chuckled "I don't think that little bottle is going to cut is Miss." Then a big male nurse walked up with a wheel chair and said "Yeah your right, I'm taking you up to a room with a shower"

That 10 mins or so in a room temperature shower was the worst pain. After a good rinse I went back down to the ER. After a Dr. verified that I didnt have breathing problems or any internal burns in my mouth or throat I got the drink of water I wanted and fentanyl for pain. Then it was mainly observation and loosely bandaging my burns. Before I went home they gave me a second blast of fentanyl... Maxing out my 24 hr limit.

Then it was twice a week torture sessions with the burn Dr. for 6 weeks.
