We have a delivery point on the sort of south western side of town, off the 101. We go about as far as is “legal” for our trucks.

I’ll inquire. I have a real good Ace in Town..Always get my keys there. That time, the used the new system, came up with a goofy looking key. Nope , I say, it’s this one here. That caused a stir. And a second opinion. Regardless, got my square Freightliner keys made. Like always. Against the computers advice. Lol. Great idea, I’ll check them. Key fob is most important in my case. Only way to control alarm. Wondering what happens when the battery goes dead. Sure I’ll find out. I had just replaced the Drivers latch, it controls the dome light switch. Door no longer opens from outside, since I used the slim Jim. Hoping it’s not damaged. I knew something was up, when driving it earlier. The dome lights came on with the left turn signal. Lol. That’s the kind of stuff this Jeep does. One of 6or 8 grounds affects anything and everything.

There are times, usually at least once every winter, when all three of the main access highways into northern California...101, 299, and 36... are closed at once. We call it "living behind the Redwood Curtain".
The closures are usually due to slides or floods...or truck drivers who don't have the skills necessary to handle the terrain. Most of the petroleum products that come into the area arrive by barge in Humboldt Bay.
There's only about two miles of 101 that are really challenging to 53s but the proposed widening projects have bounced around in the courts for years and will probably continue to do so.
Any fool that gets caught overlength on that road...and the CHP really watches it...gets to contribute big dollars to the state.

Here's some of the latest intel. Don't hold your breath waiting for the widening project to start. The hippies send their kids to law school these days.

Yesterday I Super Trucked it 63 miles to my P/U. Scales were busy, after 8 days of being closed. Sounds like bad Karma. Got some well needed sleep. I’m especially superstitious on the first trip out. Scales are all closed. Should be all the way down. Nice relaxing weekend trip.

Does anyone know of a more accurate fuel price tracker than trucker path? Lately been seeing too many false prices reported.

We’re getting the cold wind over here. Fresh hair cut. Think this winter I’ll be wearing a nice warm hat. As a kid it was always long johns, sometimes 2 pairs of pants. 2 pairs of socks, We’d stay out for hours, pushing cars out of the snow, bumper hitching, it was fun. I need a good pair of dry boots. And a new winter jacket. A warm one.

Yoga! Seriously while many people laugh at it find a good yoga trainer. If you don't have the funds for that look into DDP Yoga on Amazon. I can't begin to explain how much it has helped me and I already have hardware in my spine.
