That the Ryder “Excellent” maintenance program mentioned when fir sale. In the 80s they claimed oil changes every 5k miles. Ask any Ryder Lease Truck Driver, they’d laugh. Lucky to get one at 10k. Always overpriced. Some O/Os really bought the big lie. Many suggested I buy from Ryder in Romulus back then.

Carefull with the spinning. Don’t want to sound like a know it all, but good way to burn up a rear end quick. I mean quick. I did that on ice when I first started, burned my way out of a dock. Next day, Boss calls me in and asks if I was spinning the tires yesterday. No why? Rear ends shot in the Truck. Oops!! That’s when I remembered years earlier. First Truck I ever drove. Owner warned me, never spin them. Said when his Dad first bought the Truck, he went out at 16 yrs old doing donuts in the snow. Burned it up. Brand new Chevy stake Truck. It doesn’t take much.

Never tried cables, we have Trygg triples, and a set of singles for the steer tires.
Company rule to carry chains for every tire on the truck and trailer.
On duallies, you must run triples, so both tires are chained.
Never have figured out why those chains are called triples. Shouldn't they be called doubles, or duallies.

3 railers in this neck of the woods. Tryggs are called ice breakers because of the cross links have the half link. Run those on my jeep with cam locks.

I'm stopped at the first rest area east of Indy on I-70 East.

I stopped because I got pinged by my tablet. More bs from safety.

Thought I'd take a minute to catch up on the forum.

I finally cleared my 50-page WIIS backlog this morning. Jeez, you guys! A driver can't take a break!

CB says there's an accident up ahead, and they're kicking us off the interstate.

Pull out the map, or take a nap?

    Leaning heavily towards "nap."
