Fun start to the morning. Had to advise the illegally parked individual blocking me he was going to have damage valve stems shortly if he didn't move. Hello Kentucky

We are woke, woked, re woked, Didn’t idle much, weather was perfect yesterday. Tained pretty hard last evening. Now it’s sunny and 50. Just knocking the chill off. Delivered 12k load Saturday. Haven’t idled much. Picking up 25k Load today. Can’t wait to check my mpg. Hoping for at least 5.75 Air filters are new. That alone is normally good for .25 increase. Sitting in jump seat, moon roof leaking water on me. Always something. Never liked that moonroof.

Sometimes those woods roads will be out-sloped instead of sloped toward the high side. That makes them miserable to drive on when they're wet. They drain better that way and it makes life easier on the grader operator. Truck driver just has to gut it out.
If you get on a new-to-you dirt road in the winter and nobody has pulled any ditches you can pretty much figure on an out-slope
Always split the tracks if you can but don't split them on the down-slope side more than a couple of tire widths if at all.

In the tanker world you never have the opportunity to haul light loads. Are rates that much different when you have heavy vs. light loads?

US 421 from I71 in Kentucky to the Indiana line is beautiful scenery. Everyone should enjoy it in a conventional cab w/ 53'. Ranks with some local routes in PA.

That's no-man's land, but as you say, beautiful country just like most of KY.

Saw a SWIFTY going the other direction, wonder if he always looked that pale, was scared shirtless, or if @Frank Speak was in the neighborhood.
