Was thinking red dye 40 reduction with bell peppers and pee nuts. But figured that would go over most viewers heads.

The season depends on the weather. I've seen it shut down in September and we wouldn't turn a wheel until after Easter because of snow. I've also seen years where we logged year round...again because of weather.
We used to run on muddy roads in the winter but the new federal and state laws about stream siltation and erosion pretty much preclude that. We'll still do it but it usually has to be on private ground with no drainage issues.
Most of my brother's guys just kick back and draw their rocking chair money when they're weathered out. They put in long hours when they're logging and by the onset of winter they're ready for a break.
As a very rough estimate the season lasts from April or May into October or November but unless your crystal ball is better than mine that's as far as I'll commit myself.

I fired up the AC APU and something smelt like REALLY bad.

So I told The OM out of all the questionable things we may label abnormal in our OTR life, this was without question, genuinely abnormal.

    SO

The intake for the condenser is behind the passenger side gear door on the sleeper.

I open said door and..............................there's a partial can of catfood almost smack dab in front of it from a long time ago lol lol.

Sounded like something from the Weakly World News..... Weekly World News - Wikipedia

Then I went down the dark path of realizing how much the media of today has evolved toward that brand of "journalism".

This looking for the positive thing is challenging Dave......
