Time to find a new doc. Don't let anyone screw with your Medical Card. Don't hang around weird people either.

I'm kinda leaning toward being an ethical slum lord with flipping raw land on the slide.

"Raw land on the side" would need me to keep the CDL to run the dump truck with equipment trailer.

    Wrong thread for that thought?

Most everybody on here has their own special snowflake version of weird just under a thin veneer of normalcy.

    Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

I promised the boss that I will never ever drive on a holiday again. Last Christmas eve was dark, snowing, blowing and generally crappy. I was loaded. The weatherman said Christmas Day afternoon was gonna be sunny, dry and about 30° warmer. I voted for that and parked for the night.

Sooo, Christmas Day, beautiful afternoon, delivered my load, no traffic - none. Coming back in, had a freak mechanical problem and a dead rig.

Had to call the boss with trouble. On Christmas. Then, pulled 2 heavy tow guys away from their family Christmas dinner about 10 minutes before it was time to eat. Stupid truck driver.

Up to 6 hours away, I call that local. More than 6 hours drive time is regional, because I'm not sleeping in my own bed that night.

Thank you Sir. Someone’s gotta help the economy by driving down the rates. Lol. Always this way. Plenty of Truckers stuck out on the road. Not many Loads. All the normal folks are at home.Im surprised to see so many places closed on Friday. More than usual this year. Made it tricky to be home by Monday. Thin low paying freight this week is a grim reminder of lean times. Still 50% better, even with a slow week. I’m truly Thankful. The Industries paying what it should. For now anyways.
