    We need a favor.
You say I won't be compromised but it doesn't work that way.

Better drivers, roads are fine. The Alberta roads, are beginner roads. No, I am not joking.
If they come to BC they crap themselves.

Slept good last night. Had coffee and cake. Went back to bed and slept all day. Deliver tomorrow and don’t p/u till Saturday. Might hit the Silver Slipper Casino Seafood Buffet tomorrow night.

Brings to mind a call I got one night from a good agent. The type that leads with "what's it going to cost me to get this done?". Cause he knows it's a bad situations and the customer will pay to get bailed out.

Situation was: Pickup In Pasco -- chemicals for a fruit and veggie processor down in Bakersfield area. I90 closed and a good chunk of US395 for Ice. Same on I84 and I82 along the Columbia Gorge. Trucks he had on the load kept falling off as they got iced in. He wanted me to get up and over White Pass before it closed and be at the shipper in the morning.

Gave him the story that the customer needed to bribe me to get off my nice warm Sofa and run empty over a 4k foot pass at night between snow and ice storms, and that bribe will include a $1500 no show clause that if the customer don't show by 0900, I'm going home and expect to be paid.

He sent an appropriate rate con over that included the required clause. All happened per plan except having to throw on the auto-socks to get around and out of the customer (on tribal land) to a maintained county road. Road crews had stuff pretty well cleared by the time I was underway.

My steepest was about 27%-29%. That is more than steep enough for me. I don't mind anything up to and including 20. Steeper than 20 starts getting sketch, over 25 is Craptastic!

Snow, ice, and steep hills don't bother me.
Snow, on a layer of ice, on a really steep hill bothers me. Once you have 20% or more, and its iced up, then snow on top to lubricate the ice, and keep my chains from biting in well, my palms sweat a bit. Winter of 2019 I took a Craptastic ride down off a mountain, with a load of logs on, that made my heart pound. I got on the radio at the bottom of the steep part, once it was down to about just 15% slope, and told them I would not be back. Heard later that same day, that 2 out of the 3 other trucks hauling from there crashed on their first trip down, so they stopped hauling there. They logged it, decked it, and we went back the next summer to haul it. After that those guys had a new rule. On new shows, if steep, I pull the first load. If I say no more, I won't go back, they don't even go up. They have told me that I am the craziest driver out there, so if I say no more, they will not even head up to have a look.
Guess that makes me either the craziest, or stupidest.
