Mine is Head-Smashed-in-Buffalo-Jump, AB which I'm pretty sure used to have it's own dot on the map but is now listed as a historical site in Fort MacLeod.

They logged it, decked it, and we went back the next summer to haul it. After that those guys had a new rule. On new shows, if steep, I pull the first load. If I say no more, I won't go back, they don't even go up. They have told me that I am the craziest driver out there, so if I say no more, they will not even head up to have a look.
Guess that makes me either the craziest, or stupidest.

Young and dumb? I'm older now and don't have the need to push it. I have seen some wrecks out there. As ,i am sure, we all have.

I would be running my own flatbed, preferably with a square hood though not necessarily a long hood, hauling nice and easy sticks and bricks for the money I make now.

Of course the money factor alone makes that impossible.

I’ll manage one or the other, but combining the two is way too terrifying. I’ll stay in my nice safe flat lands.

Aw, well. I guess I needed a 16-hour rhinoceros sleep. I've been trying to stay ahead of a potentially nasty head cold that's been dogging me since Atlanta.

Time to commence final leg of the trip to the house.

My steepest was about 27%-29%. That is more than steep enough for me. I don't mind anything up to and including 20. Steeper than 20 starts getting sketch, over 25 is Craptastic!

My limit is 25% unassisted.
When I was trailer boss on a job in the Colorado anything over 25% was assisted by 2 dozers. We got up to 53%. Steepest grade, 60%. Only track vehicles down that grade. Cathedral Heights by Meeker,CO.
