    They do.
I saw a new kid trying to chain up, stopped and helped. First things first, that is backwards, take them off and flip them over. Tension cams all to the loose setting, always move the direction of downhill, not moving the truck forward or backward. Tuck the end in nice and tight the downhill side, then move your truck. Now lift this end up do up all 3 hooks, tighten your cams, and drive 200'. Stop, tighten up the rest of the cams you can actually get tight, put on your tire chain snap straps, and go drive. Everything has a right way, and wrong way. Load the dishwasher wrong, dirty dishes are the result. Learn to do it right, and keep doing that every time.

Don't, please don't mention wheel chains. 5 in the morning this week, had to chain up. Worst mess I've ever made of chaining. You think the new kid was having problems? Never bothered swearing. Finally jammed my finger really nice and twisted it all at the same time. 2 other Driver's came along and ask me what I knew about chaining big Trucks. There was a naughty word I thought about, Some of the people where I work have a weird sense of humor.
    Just sayin.

That's like when when you hit your head on something and some knucklehead says, does it hurt?

I do that unmentionable thing hundreds of times a year, even in summer to get through mud. Doesn't bother me at all, its just a little part of my job.
I buy elcheapo rain coats, put them on over my clothes, and then do that action, I won't say the name of. Then shove the rain coat back into a plastic bag and toss on the passenger side floor. When it gets too tattered, throw it away, and get out a new one. When they go on sale, I buy 20 more. With all the snow, mud slush falling off the truck onto me, and me physically laying over the top of the dirty tires, then laying on the ground to reach the inside hooks, i keep cleaner and drier that way. Until you lay under your truck in the snow and mud a few hundred times a year, your not trucking in central BC.

Looks to be staying north of me.

Scratched around a bit. Looks like you got the same problem up there of fools building in the flood plains that we have down here?
