Yeah 5 hours at that place. Got a measly 50 bucks for our wasted time and still had to tarp.

I try to stay upbeat and keep my comments positive, but Keri has been physically abused by her ex. This is the primary reason she is on unpaid leave. I did respect her enough to ask before making this comment. I have seen some of the photos taken during the time she was carried to the ER. I have given her one of my spare bedrooms. She has 3 more months left on the lease and has already almost emptied out her apartment. I am 31 years older than she is and we are just good friends. Although there is a TRO against her ex, all of us know how worthless that piece of paper is. I may be weak, but I have my pal close by!

I won't get too deep into the ex, but he is a professional and is physically a large man. It has taken me a long time, but over the past year she has slowly opened up and even giggles when I make my popeye face! My heart attacks scared her. Right now I am all she has. I am sitting looking at her as I type this out. She moved her daybed from her apartment and is laying on it reading one of those dang romance novels.

Now maybe you can see why she spent Thanksgiving with this old gear jammer! I don't know how many years I have left. You can bet the sweet one she will have a home here as long as she desires. She has a timetable to be back on the job sometime this coming summer. PTSD is not easy to beat, but she is trying!

 

Somehow I have to get Sheila to slow down on the cookies.

I must have 3 pounds of cookies here. They're good too lol.
