Speaking of stents and such... I'm making some drastic dietary changes right now. I'm 40 pounds lower than my heaviest, but I've been more or less plateaued within a 10-lb range for five years. Time to lose the rest.

Here’s the breakdown of my recent OH. Only thing missing from a DD 3 yr. 300k warrantied OH is rebuilt rocker assemblies. I may do it yet, cost is $2000 for parts. Mine was good.My Last Truck had the 3 yr OH at Freightliner for $23k. in 2008. It include the rockers, I paid extra for new oil pump and jake rebuild kits. Later found out they didn’t change the camshaft bearings. What a waste of money. I’m very confident in this build. The counterbores were cut by an engineer at the Detroit factory, here in town, with 20 yrs experience cutting blocks. I watched the process. The Guy is sharp as a whip. 7 yrs experience at DD dealership, before college, then a few yrs with Roush, now 8 yrs at Detroit. He works on the emissions systems, testing and suggesting software upgrades. Says they finally got most bugs worked out in 2017. He even gave me a $400 friends and family discount. Unlike many claim, all cylinder protrusions being set at max .05 above the deck. He said no, ( the spec is .01-.05, with no more than .02 difference between adjoining cylinders) he set them all at .04” above the deck. The closer they are, the less chance of a blown head gasket. My last Truck blew a gasket at just over 500k. Just out of warranty. Warped the head. It happens. DD Rep bought the parts,$1800 at the time. I paid $1700 Labor. I had to make a lot of noise, told them I was going to dish DD on the CB everyday up and down I-94 from Detroit to Chicago. Lol.

I have successfully avoided any type of Labor since getting home early Tues. morning. Tonight it’s Chinese pepper steak. Ready in 15 minutes. Outta keep my wife’s criticism at bay for the evening. She goes real easy on me these days. My backs just now feeling better after 3 weeks. I’m definitely on borrowed time. Lol. Makes me want to enjoy every minute.

You will probably still be troubled by the concealed dust from the sanding residue for painting. Lady drove into my apartment back in April and I still find sheetrock tape sanding in and around corners of stuff. You get to sneezing like a machine gun, that is it.

That was a good link for O/O.

I think this series would be good for most folks to review.
