I wish that my truck had a gauge that showed instantaneous mpg, sadly it doesnt. The saving grace that allows me to get about 4mpg is almost always being empty one way.
My haul just before I got hurt, was 803 kilometers per day, almost exactly 499 miles per day, and i used right around 470 to 490 liters per day, which Google tells me is about 124 to 130 US gallons. So almost 4 mpg was what I was getting. This haul wasn't as bad on fuel as some were for sure.
My sister is now doing it, and she is burning up almost exactly the same amount of diesel per day in her truck.LtlAnonymous, dwells40, John E. and 5 others Thank this.
