    Property taxes in Texas are very high for that $995k house the taxes would be $24k to $25k a year. You work your backside off and show a little sucess and buy a million-dollar home that is paid for, and the God #### state has their grubby hands out to take away over $2k per month. But hay we don't have income Tax.
