That would have been an epic post if you had said ' pulling 5 loads a week of Budweiser ' lol.

Congrats on the new job, it sounds good!

Elon should be making electric fighters by 2024. Then people can kill each other with coal powered planes.

    Wait a minute.

If they work in the trucking industry, don't they have to wear jeans, a belt with a ridiculously large buckle, an ugly plaid shirt, and huge steel toed boots.

There is no place for bare legs in the trucking industry according to some.

Had the oldest driver in the company call me at 7am, asking if he could come over for a visit, and talk.
I love Jack so much, what a great man.
He is 77 years old, my papa's first driver hired on, and also they are best friends.
Jack went to see papa yesterday, and they talked about his employment, since dad is selling, and won't own it much longer.
Well Jack came to my house this morning, with Christmas gifts for us, and over a cup of tea we talked.
Jack asked me how I felt about him retiring, and not working for us any longer.

He told me that he would never leave my dad, would either die of old age behind the wheel, be fired by papa, or wait till he sold. But he would stay driving if it would leave me in a lurch if he quit, but does want to retire if I don't mind. That is so kind, and such deep respect. I hugged him, and let him know that it was fine to retire. Honestly wasn't sure why he still worked, he doesn't need the money, and is 77 after all, it was time to retire long ago.
He did it out of loyalty for my dad.

We had a great visit, and that is that.
Called up another of the people who I recently interviewed, and asked if they would like to start on April 4th, 2022. That was a resounding YES, which gives me time to have a lot of work done to that old truck, which is good.

I'm very happy for Jack, he was ready to retire 10 years ago.

Well most of the drivers I would prefer not to see their legs. Especially @D.Tibbitt special case poster child.........

Now the 6 foot Norwegian chick that delivered UPS to my shop down in Santa Cruz? I was solid with her showing some leg.
