Had a First generation Honda dohc 750, also a Kawasaki 900 Z-1. Both quite fast.
Norcal people would know the “Sunday Morning Ride” out to coast, with a stop at Alices.
Have to admit, the most fun was on an RD350 as a cafe ride.

I still have a bike but it's just a little around town scoot. Tops out at about 62 if you kick with your feet.

Actually, when I think about it, mine wasn't a DOHC, that was Honda I think.
What was the Yamaha 750 called?

Always wanted one of those. Almost bought one in 89. Little voice said don’t do it. Wasn’t even ready for that much bike.

Wasn't the Honda called the 750 Four?

    Right.
    The Yamaha was OHC
And the Honda was very cool.

We call that skiing into shape. I don't travel much anymore. Just ski the West/Canada. Mostly mom& pop resorts. You know old school vibe.

It was actually a pretty civilized and good handling bike before I started outfitting it for the dragstrip. I bought it off an old guy who purchased it new and only had it for 10 days before his wife made him sell it.

I say "old guy", lol... he was 48 and I was 23, so he seemed pretty old to me at the time. Now I'm 57 wishing I was 48 again.

    Nice!

I ran into a Landstar guy the other day with a sport bike on the back of his cab. For a fleeting moment, I thought, "Yeah! I should get one of those!"

But my car will get me into enough trouble as it is.
