Good concept and had considered it.

Problem is they would also clean up the 2k or so knee high pines unless I ran them in very small and mobile pens, or fenced off every tree. Trees were planted on a 6 foot grid pattern. Would be more work and money than just getting the equipment and clearing the weeds.

The OM is descended from a long line of ferals.

The last job Dad ever had was working as security at this business park on Roosevelt near The J.

He befriended this black cat we named Scruffy.

He would drive around with Scruffy on the hood of his F150.

He comes home one night / morning like 0500 in late June, it's like 100F, and says Scruffy has had a litter of kittens.......on the seat of his pickup.

So we take in Scruffy and the new family and make them a place in his closet.

    I said we'll keep one.................

My uncle had a Bultaco. As I recall, the throttle, clutch, shifter and brakes were backwards from every other bike.

My dad had an Ossa Stiletto around that same time. And another uncle had an Ossa Pioneer. Very temperamental bikes that were very hard to start. Extremely fast when you did get them running though.

Neighbor kid down the street from us, his dad had a Hodaka that always sat in the garage. Don't think I ever saw him ride it.
Edit: He also had a Jawa? Some Czech-made bike?

I edited my other post to include Jawa. My poor memory thought they were one in the same... a CZ Jawa. The early 70's were chock full of dirt/trail bikes.
