I just poured myself a cup of coffee and trying to decide whether I want to back to playing Metal Gear-Ghost Babel or annoy all of you on here. :)

Goats are also little sons of beaches that will not stay in a fence, and will dance on the hood of any car that shows up in the yard while flipping you the middle hoof.

"Oh, you just got your car back from the body shop after getting all that hail damage fixed? Well let me show you the dance of my people."

This was the bike (stolen internet pic) my dad taught me to ride when I was 8 years old--a 1969 Yamaha 100. I remember that day like it was yesterday.

We were camping up in Harrison, MI and he took me out to a wide open field, set me on the seat, show me how to operate the clutch and the gas, then sent me off. It took me a minute to get the hang of the throttle and every time I'd twist it, my head would whip back from the weight of the helmet while I hollered, "Daaad!" When I wanted to stop, my dad had to run beside me and hold the bike up because my feet couldn't even touch ground.

I eventually learned how to push it out of the garage over to a chunk of concrete, climb up on it and roll it down the driveway to bump start it and off I'd go to the patch of woods near our house. If I dropped it while I was riding, I had to walk home and get one of the neighborhood kids to help me pick it back up and get it going again. The usual deal was they got to ride it too.

This was my transportation to high school--my dad's 1971 Suzuki T500. The two-stroke twin had a very unique sound, very slow to wind up with more induction noise than exhaust. Very cool bike.

He traded that bike and some cash for a 72 Mach 1 with a non-running 429 out of a 68 Thunderbird. Took a little garage time but we got that beast of a car going.

Incidentally, dad bought another Suzuki just like the one pictured, and still has it.

I don't know exactly. There is only one picture of the original bike and I couldn't find it. I'm going by memory of what it looked like, color etc. Seems like the one I rode had a split chrome and red tank though.

It had the high exhaust with an oval shaped outlet though. The original baffle plate had been removed and my dad used the tube and bottom plate from a bicycle air pump, with holes drilled, wrapped in fiberglass, to make it a little quieter for riding around the neighborhood.
