All this fancy restaurant stuff is too much for me. I am more than happy with a meal from Cracker Barrel. The food, price and clientele are more my type. No frills kinda guy.

One of my uncles had a chance to be one of the first investors in Cracker Barrel way back in 1969 and the fool turned it down because he thought it wouldn't amount to much..

Back in the 50’s or 60’s my dads friend wanted to split a large farm. My dad was like WTF am I going to do with a farm? (I wish he would have said yes lol) It was all rolling pasture. Fast forward a decade or two. It turned into a HUGE trailer park. Nice and clean. The owner does not have money problems. We would drive past and dad would say “That was almost us” LOL

I venture to say a lot of us are fools in that respect.

Or for a very special occasion.
We took Papa to an expensive place for his 60th birthday. But there was only 5 of us at dinner, and us 3 sisters split the bill, so wasn't too bad.

    I'm with ya.

But I gave my son the choice as a gift.

So I brought it on myself.......

I'm a small town diner fan.
Where they have a chalkboard with the daily special on it.
The menu has breakfast items on 1 side, and the rest is on the other side.
Then for me it depends on my mood, eggs Benedict, omelet, burger, beef dip, or clubhouse.
