    That's just one of the trade offs when one puts fashion over profit while running an interstate truck on the open highway.

    Nature of the beast kinda thing. Run predominantly off road in the mud and yuck, MPG is not going to be anywhere near a predominantly pavement truck.

    One of the cool things (and also frustrating things) about this thread is the variety of work conditions that the participants have.

    Me I just like to give a friendly noodge to @Cat sdp when I can, Mostly cause we have such a different perception of what's important for a work truck, mostly based on the different type of work we do/did......

    True.
    Based on the job it does, and even the region it runs. There is not really a bad truck, just an inappropriate truck for the task at hand.

    You don't use a spatula to chop vegetables in the kitchen either.

    I have been known to use my cleaver to chop veggies when the wife is using the other good kitchen knife. And as a spatula if the wife hides the spatula from me......

    It's o.k., I have been told I'm "just not right" many times before.
