There's two more now. Maybe 75 yards out. One has antlers so big, I can see he has antlers even in the dark.

I thought you had a Truck. I’ve got a transmission jack, if you ever need to borrow it, no problem. You going to run it? Or sell it? What year? motor? Trans? Asking for a friend, and because I’m nosey.

425 B model Cat. King of the hill. That’s the engine that made Cat famous. I had one of the new 1992 C models in my WS. Same engine with bigger rod bearings. Maintenance went from suggested 250k to 500k miles on the rods and mains. They could be zooped up fairly easy by the right Mechanic. It’s all in the huge fuel pump springs and weights (I think)

You may not have been aware that your phone works as night vision, but it does.

I was able to squeeze 6.2 out of mine, running Port Huron to Janesville with a very light load of roof racks in summer. It was a C model peec bridge motor. Somewhat of a dud. Didn’t get any better mpg than a mechanical, and wasn’t as responsive. But it was drive by wire, and had nice electronic cruise control. Great big computer mounted on a mechanical fuel pump was a monster. Cost Me $2000 to have it rebuilt at Cat in Novi in 1999. First and last Cat I’ve owned. The torque and smooth drivability beats Detroit hands down. Easily out pull any 500 Detroit stock vs. stock. They’re great motors. Somehow over time the 12.7 has stolen or earned all of its glory. Cat Guys used to call the Detroit’s throw away engines. Lol.
