Despite 'Around the Clock' Efforts from PG&E and Caltrans, 299 Remains Closed Indefinitely

Yeah have a friend that went to Eureka yesterday and now is stuck there. He just called me and said he is running 101 I wished him luck. Told him to start praying when he gets to Richardson Grove

 

Is he pulling a 53' ? The Garberville CHP office really watches that close. Especially now with 299 and 36 shut down, they know somebody will try it.

 

I warned him about exactly that. He has a condo with a 48' but still over 65'

Best to learn in the summer, its easier.
Why not come in July, stay a few months. I don't promise anyone a job until they prove themselves to me, but possibly. If I don't, go around door to door, and your chances are good someone will hire you. The first few years try to get on easy hauls, working up to the truly ugly ones.
If you go haul logs, get on a truck paying percentage, not hourly. Hauling logs by the hour like I did for my Papa is a rip off. I should make double or triple what I do, but am hourly.
