$299k is “normal” ….it a used truck - a peterbilt for crying out load - nothing particularly special or u usual on the spec.

all that truck and it is spec’d with 3.91 and no aux trans?

and with all the shiny crap on it and almost no ground clearance - good look. Even me who hates leaving the pavement - have to do it from time to time.

Build what you want, but in the end trucks are just specialized hammers built to do a job.

The new normal is here…….. question is how long it stays around.

that truck would be used around here with a 4 axle closed lowbed. And do like a D8/365 in one piece. Not your kind of super loads………

Trucks are like women just keep throwing money at them. And I like mine tall ……….

@Rontonio how was the flight home?

And agree with your above post about that hideous truck.

the flight home was just as crappy as could be. That said, I made it back - sprung Zoe from the slammer and loaded a 13 wide 15 tall load in San Diego today

Well......... I would have to add that visor, no horns or markers on the cab, and those hideous fenders that would be trashed in one trip. But that's just me. Different strokes for different folks.

The more important question is whether consuming a burrito from the taco shop at the border Truckstop was the best decision I have ever made?

Zoe could already be an orphan and neither of know it yet
