I'm still at home, enjoying my Christmas "vacation".

I'm heading out in the wee hours tomorrow for Winston-Salem NC.

I'm just having my coffee right now, probably have a turkey-enhanced breakfast in a little while.

I was at the hardware store yesterday to pick up a replacement plug for a table lamp. They had an assortment of Traeger wood-pellet fired griller/smokers "on sale".

    The small one was $539.

The big one, with the automatic pellet feed and temperature control with wifi connectivity was almost $1400, iirc.

I never heard of that brand, but I'm very curious. They seem very well-made.

I also saw a three foot wide, propane-fired, George Foreman Grill.

I hope it comes with a three-foot wide grease trough, because letting burger fat run all over the picnic table is probably not a good idea in "bear country", which, from what I hear lately, is pretty much "everywhere".

It WOULD be just the thing for knocking out grilled ham and cheese sandwiches by the dozen at a tailgate party, tho.

@tramm01 has a Traeger, and I can vouch for his prowess in the use of this cooking tool.

Traeger is a quality unit a bit spendy but holds up well. Little sister in Montana has had hers for close to 10 years and is like new.

Well, I would consider earthquake insurance as soon as in possession. One of those California malfunctions might splinter and streak thru there.
Big spiderweb crack and you be marooned.

That is some good information right there.. Gonna find me an empty and check it out. Irish whisky and made in US is a double winner.
